These are a collection of things I picked up while attending Kiwanis Leadership forums over the years.

Traits of a Diversity Leader

1. Delegate to show your confidence and trust in members
2. Create an atmosphere of inclusion, teamwork
3. Coordinate objectives and goals
4. Cooperate with all team members
5. Elevate members to a higher degree of service
6. Initiate activities, program ideas
7. Motivate members to reach their highest potential
8. Stimulate new service projects and public relations
9. Titillate keep members excited
10. Appreciate everyone at all times
11. Generate change (when needed)
12. Investigate when things might be going wrong
13. Operate  in an atmosphere of good will
14. Escalate the ideals and talent of your members
15. Communicate your vision of the club and its future
16. Invigorate keep things exciting
17. Aspirate to save faltering members
18. Articulate speak clearly
19. Associate with all members, K-family members, and other clubs
20. Assimilate blend in, don’t be a standout
21. Meditate ask for guidance
22. Anticipate think ahead
23. Congregate show up, set examples
24. Facilitate allow membership input; don’t do all the talking
25. Proportionate keep all things in their proper prospective

Traits of a Non-Diversity Leader

1. Instigate look for fights
2. Aggravate rub members the wrong way
3. Berate belittle members and guests
4. Negate take away from
5. Agitate stir the pot
6 .Vacillate waver under pressure
7. Arrogate _____ members off
8. Hibernate hide out, especially in time of crisis
9. Attenuate make small the ideas of members
10. Fabricate make up tales
11. Obliterate throw away input and new ideas
12. Obligate bind members unnecessarily
13. Dictate your way or the highway
14. Obstinate oppose all ideas but your own
15. Dominate all activities and functions
16. Procrastinate keep putting things off
17. Retaliate when you do not get your way
18. Reverberate beat back good ideas
